CAHL state of play: Beauties separate, defenses dig in, 30 leagues humming.
Late-May snapshot of every active CAHL division. The top of the table is getting crowded, four shutout defenses are quietly making the case, and Tuesday B West B is a four-team scrum.

Frozen Forums analyzed the latest CAHL landscape across all 30 active divisions and 287 registered teams. Most divisions are two games in. A handful are three. The shape of the season is starting to form.
First team to 3-0-0
Through this weekend's slate, exactly one team has separated with a perfect three-game start: the Beauties in Tuesday B West A, sitting at 3-0-0, 6 points. Everyone else still in the win column is bunched at 2-0-0. If Beauties win again, they will be the first CAHL team this season to put real daylight between themselves and the field.
Undefeated leaders, 2-0-0
Twenty-plus divisions have a clear leader sitting at 2-0-0. The cohort you should know:
- Monday D · East: Beaver Taps (2-0-0, 4 pts)
- Monday D · West A: Columbus Chupacabras (2-0-0, 4 pts)
- Monday D · West B: Native Sons (2-0-0, 4 pts)
- Tue NTPRD Chiller B: Reapers (2-0-0, 4 pts)
- Wednesday B East: The Chicken Selects (2-0-0, 4 pts)
- Wednesday B West A: T5P Hockey (2-0-0, 4 pts)

Loudest offenses through the early slate
Two teams are running away with the score sheet. Acura Columbus (Sunday B East) and Cocktails and Dreams JV (Tuesday B West B) are both at 19 goals for. Acura did it in two games. Cocktails needed three. Behind them: True Grit at 17 GF, with Original 6 Packs and Reapers tied at 16 GF in two games each.
Defenses still unscored on
Four teams have played two games and given up zero goals: Ice Hawks (Monday D West A) and Psychobilly Slashers (Sunday C South B) are the only two clean sheets across both games. Right behind them, Broncos (Sunday C North B), Honkies (Sunday C South C), and Healthy Scratches (Sunday C South C) have allowed exactly one goal in two games. Whoever is in net for those clubs is worth knowing about when their division has a sub opening later.
Tuesday B West B is already a four-team scrum
Most divisions have one team out front. Tuesday B West B does not. Cocktails and Dreams JV (2-1-0), D-Icers (2-0-0), Reacharound (2-1-0), and Pylons (2-1-0) are all sitting on 4 points. The first team to win two in a row will own this division until someone else does. Best mini-race of the season so far.
Sunday is the engine of CAHL
Eleven Sunday divisions, more than any other day. Sunday C South C runs 16 teams deep, still the largest single division in the league. Sunday C South A and Sunday C South B both run 14. If you want games, Sunday is where the volume lives. If you are a sub goalie in the pool, this is where most of your alerts will fire.
Thursday is the busiest weeknight
Thursday now spans five C-level divisions: Thur NTPRD Chiller C, Thursday C East, Thursday C North, Thursday C South, and Thursday C West. 54 teams total. Dayton Fire jumped to 2-0-0 atop Thur NTPRD Chiller C. Original 6 Packs are 2-0-0 with 16 GF in the north. If you skate C-level, Thursday is where the games are.
By the numbers
The other side of the table
Of the 251 entries in the standings, 72 teams have played at least one game without a win. Most are 0-1 or 0-2 and still in striking distance. A handful are 0-3. The next two weeks will sort out who has a roster problem and who just drew a bad opening slate.
Women's league
Six teams registered. Games have not started yet. The board will move once results come in.
The take
Two weeks in, the league is already telling its own story. The Beauties are out front, four defenses have not blinked, and Tuesday B West B is the best mini-race on the calendar. The next two weeks will say a lot.
Plug in
Bigger divisions mean more games on the same night. Sunday C South C runs 16 teams. Sunday C South A and B run 14 each. Thursday C South and Thursday C West run 14 apiece. That is eight or so games on one ice slate, and eight regular goalies who could come down with a work trip, a sick kid, or a tweaked groin between Monday and Friday. The math says the goalie pool gets the most alerts out of those divisions. Goalies sitting in the goalie pool are the ones the request finds first.
Captains who run those rosters already know the drill. A goalie pulls out the morning of, the group chat goes silent, the game is in five hours. Posting on the Looking for a Goalie board is free and gets seen by anyone browsing the site. When the clock is short and the board is not moving fast enough, $5 fires the request directly to the goalie pool. One click, the goalies who fit get the alert.
On the player side, the teams named above lose people every year to work, kids, and knees. Captains scout the Free Agents board when they need to refill a roster before the next session, and the Looking for Players board is where rosters get started in the first place.
