CAHL state of play: the perfect club is down to four, Jetstream Jets and Winking Lizard both hit a clean ten, and Wednesday B West B won't break.

Ten weeks in and the field has cut itself down to the last four spotless records in the league. Last week six teams had not lost a game. This week it is four, two of them have crossed a line nobody else has reached, and the best race on the board is a 10-0-0 leader with an unbeaten club one point off its shoulder. Across all 30 active divisions, here is where it stands.

Still perfect

Four teams have not lost a game, and two of those four have run the record to a clean ten. The only spotless records left in the league:

• Wednesday B West B: Winking Lizard (10-0-0, 66 for, 33 against, plus-33)
• Thursday C South: Jetstream Jets (10-0-0, 51 for, 12 against, plus-39)
• Monday D West B: Native Sons (9-0-0, 10 against, plus-30)
• Wednesday B West A: T5P Hockey (9-0-0, 61 for, plus-37)

The name that came off the list this week is Columbus Chupacabras, who carried a perfect Monday D West A into this week and walked out 8-1-0. Still leading their division, still fine, but the spotless club is a tier you belong to until you do not. Four left, and the two Wednesday teams did not just survive the week, they made a statement doing it.

Jetstream Jets and Winking Lizard both hit a clean ten

Two clubs have now taken a record all the way to 10-0-0. Jetstream Jets were the first team in the league to reach eight, then nine, and now ten, unbeaten in Thursday C South with twelve goals allowed across the entire run. Plus-39 is the biggest goal differential in the league, a number they took off T5P this week. That is not a division lead, that is a lease with no expiration. Winking Lizard matched the ten in Wednesday B West B, 66 goals for, and they are doing it while scoring more than anyone in their building. Two teams, twenty games between them, zero losses. Somebody eventually has to hand one of them a first loss. Nobody has volunteered.

The best race on the board

The tightest fight in the league is in Winking Lizard's own division. Wednesday B West B has a 10-0-0 leader and an unbeaten club one point behind it. Goal Train is 9-0-1, nineteen points to Winking Lizard's twenty, still without a regulation loss of its own. Two teams, one still perfect and one who has taken a single point off a shootout, separated by the width of that shootout. They have to meet, and when they do it settles a division that neither has been willing to lose. The first team to blink hands the other the banner.

The unbeaten-but-not-perfect club

Three more teams have not lost in regulation but carry a shootout point on the card. Baba Yaga is 9-0-1 atop Sunday C South A at plus-33. Chico's Bail Bonds is 8-0-2 and running away with Thursday C West. Goal Train makes three. None of them have lost a hockey game outright this season. They are a bad night away from the perfect list and a good night away from never needing it.

Loudest offenses

Some teams just outscore the problem. Through ten games:

• The Chicken Selects, 72 goals for (Wednesday B East)
• Winking Lizard, 66 (Wednesday B West B)
• T5P Hockey, 61 (Wednesday B West A)
• Shakers Raw Dogs, 60 (Wednesday B East)
• Only Dudes, 55 (Sunday C South B)
• Sunday Beer, 54 (Sunday C East)

The Chicken Selects are the only team in the league past 70, and they have three losses to show for it. Wednesday B East is where the puck goes in the net and stays out of the standings conversation. Winking Lizard is the outlier on this list, 66 goals for and not a single loss to go with them. Scoring gets you on this list. Doing it without losing gets you a banner.

Stingiest defenses

The other way to win. Fewest goals against, five games or more:

• Native Sons, 10 goals against in nine games (Monday D West B)
• Jetstream Jets, 12 in ten (Thursday C South)
• Puck Uglies, 13 in nine (Monday D East)
• Red Knights, 14 in nine (Monday D West B)
• Beaver Taps, 15 in nine (Monday D East)
• The Thursday Knights, 15 in ten (Thursday C North)

Native Sons have allowed ten goals across a full nine-game sample, barely a goal a night, and it has bought them a perfect record. Monday D West B put two clubs on this list again, Native Sons and Red Knights, which is why nobody scores on Mondays in that building. Whoever is in those nets is worth knowing when the division has a sub opening later.

Sunday is still the giant

Ten Sunday divisions, more than any other day on the calendar, 114 teams across the slate. Sunday C South C runs sixteen teams deep, still the largest single division in the league. If you want games, a sub spot, or a roster opening, Sunday is where the volume lives. It is also where most of the goalie pool's alerts fire, because more games on one ice slate means more goalies who come down with a work trip or a tweaked groin by Saturday night.

Still chasing the first win

The winless list is down to one. Beerzerkers are 0-9-1 in Thursday C North, the last team in the league still looking for its first win, and they have picked up a shootout point to show they are at least close in a room or two. Ten weeks in, one game changes the whole conversation. The team that finds its lines by the playoff round is the team nobody wants to draw. Striking distance, not a verdict.

High School and Women's

The high school divisions and the Women's League are seeded and scheduled but have not put points on the board yet. East, North, and West are each more than ten teams deep, all level at zero, all waiting for a first puck drop. They get their own look the moment games are played.
